Glorious Saturday

We had a nice lie in and later when the Italian went to the gym I went for a lovely power walk. Happy people around jogging, walking or just hanging out in the sunshine.

Time for a well needed shower and then unfortunately off to work. The Italian is off this weekend, off course, when I am working night tonight. A shame but never mind. Our time will come. Our time will come. Next week he is off Monday, Tuesday and I'm off Wednesday, Thursday. Our time will come. Our time will come. Haha. Anyway. Better get ready for work.

The Week

Wow, what a week.

It's been non stop so I am sorry that I've neglected you.

Monday and Tuesday I worked from 8am - 8pm and I didn't do much else.

Although, actually I did go to the cinema on Monday night - Bridesmaids. A must if you like to laugh. It is the funniest film I've watched in a long time!

I was off yesterday and the day flew by.

I woke up about 8am and went for a power walk for an hour and 20 minutes. I came home and started a book (very rare that I just sit down and read) After a couple of hours I went for a run and did 20 minutes Zumba.

I needed some Jeans and went to H&M in One New Change and came out with a beautiful dress and some earrings instead.

A few doors down at Top Shop though I bought a pair of Jeans that were ok.

And then I jumped on the train at Liverpool Street to Ilford for my Spa Treatment - more about that later.

And then I went home, cooked some nice dinner and relaxed that much that I actually finished my book that I started the same morning.

 

And today I am back at work and I am meeting Vanessa at Tempo tonight for dinner.

Soft night

Watched two films Gia - such a sad story, and another step up film - still love them, this one was even from London. Even better.
And now I'm lounging around in my new favourite t-shirt watching some tv series that I've downloaded.

Sunday

A good start with a 45 minute run and then a walk up to the flower market.

And after a few hours in the park while the Italian was at the gym (mostly cloudy though unfortunately), we finished watching the second season of Lie To Me.

Continued on with Inception (loved it) and now I am watching my Step Up 2 again because he wanted to see it as well.

We've had such a nice relaxing weekend after two great nights Thursday and Friday.

Lazy Saturday

After two big nights the Italian and I have had a slow day today. I did go for a run and do 45 min Zumba, and he went to the gym. But apart from the it's been all about the sofa and Lie To Me.
I'm now digging in to the champagne truffles that J got me yesterday.

Happy (almost) birthday to me

We had dinner in the private room at Shoreditch House

It is such a gorgeous room and pretty much my dream flat. High ceiling, old style ware house windows and a cracking view of East London

The food was amazing, lots of different dishes in the middle of the table for everyone to share. Almost like tapas.

As a started we had, Mozzarella and cherry tomatoes, baby octopus and calamari, parma ham with parmesan cheese and Ravioli

I got a new necklace from the girls that went beautifully with my dress

And a new bracelet from L that I also put on straight away. At least I think that's what the Italian took a photo of here.... not too sure

For main course we had, risotto primavera with goat cheese, lamb, chicken and sea bream

And dessert was panacotta with berries, lemon tart, tiramisu and cheese

After dinner we went up to the roof top and had cocktails by the pool

It was a lovely night, but since most of us had a long week before and some had to go home to their children it ended quite early and we were home by 2am.

To be honest the inside was a bit bizarre and tacky, but with it being such a gorgeous night I only needed to go inside once, and that was to get fed. The buffet table was set and I was there right away.

Sunday

Today is easily the hottest day this year. I wish I could've been lying in the sun all day but I think it might've been too hot even for me that usually loves the heat. I finished at four though and I'm now sitting in the sun waiting for the Italian and two friends. We were supposed to meet at 4.30. No one else is here yet...
We are going to a 30th birthday party on a boat. Should be good fun. I assume it's a boat that doesn't move and it's more like a bar, but it's still a bit different from the places you usually go to.

Day off

I woke up when the Italian got up and I couldn't go back to sleep because of a blocked nose and aching head. I've been lying in bed now for the last couple of hours reading blogs and updated myself on my friends life on Facebook. Dealt with staff texting me to tell me that they are sick and can't work tonight. So on my one day off this week I have to find cover for a shift tonight. I am going to get out of bed now and make some breakfast. Hopefully I'll feel better after that. The cleaner is coming at 12 today so I have to get out of the flat by then anyway and there's a body combat class at 12.30 which would work perfectly.
I really miss Zumba, but because it's so late at night I rarely go. I'm going to see if they've got the new schedule out today. Otherwise I'm going to buy the Zumba for Wii later on and try that out.
A friend posted on Facebook that she's lost 19cm since she started with that. Or did she say inches? No that's impossible right? Either way, very interesting. And I like when you can work out at home yourself. No need for timetables etc. Anyway enough rambling. Let's get on with the day. Weather report? Grey off course and it seems like it's going to rain all day. Yay!

It's been raining non stop since I woke up today.

I lit lots of candles put on Adele and looked at the gorgeous flowers and plants I bought yesterday.

It's been so lovely.

Mr Sunshine has shown his face now so I am jumping on my bike heading for Marylebone and lovely Cat.

Even though it's wet it's still really warm. Really tough to get dressed for this weather.

I decided to go for summer clothes and have the waterproofs within reach.

I think that'll be the best choice.

Flats for the afternoon and then heals for the evening with Niall.

Evening

I'm finally on the last episode of the shallow show. Or the slutty show which is what the Italian calls it, since he can't understand what they're saying, all he can see is girls getting drunk and partying all the time.
I really fancy going to Sweden now and speak Swedish and hang out Swedish style.
The plan is to meet up with Cat tomorrow so at least I get to speak Swedish then:)
And then in the evening I am finally meeting up with Niall who I haven't seen for about three months.
I am looking forward to Friday night as well when the Italian and I are going to taste of London in Regents Park.

Afternoon

Back home again after a lovely afternoon with Lucy.
We went to Cafe Oto in Dalston.
It's such a cool place. It's basically nothing. Just a warehouse style room with concrete floors and walls, but the people that go there are really cool and the people that work there as well.
I am back on the sofa in front of the shallow show. But I can feel some really bad period pains coming on so I'm considering going for another PW to ease the pain.

Wednesday

A nice lie in this morning until just after 9. Got stuck on the sofa watching a VERY shallow Swedish show that I'm not even going to admit that I'm watching. But I've gotten a tad obsessed with it lately and can't stop myself.
After a while I decided that I needed to move away from the bum shaped hole in the sofa. So I went on a lovely power walk. There were so many birds with babies (I'm sure bird babies have got another name) in the canal which made me smile.
Back on the sofa for another few episodes.
About to make some lunch before cycling to Dalston to meet up with beautiful Lucy this afternoon.

Tuesday but could be Friday

I was supposed to finish just before 6 and I had my mind set on spinning at 6.10. Ended up finishing closer to 6.30 so I missed spinning.
Went home and enjoyed the last half an hour of sunshine on the balcony instead before making dinner.
I'm now catching up on all the Lie To Me episodes that the Italian have watched while I've been asleep next to him.
I am off for the next few days and my first initial thought was to spend them with me alone, since it's been a few weeks since I had a day off to myself. But I've now ended up booking myself up quite a bit with friends which I am really looking forward to as well.

Thursday

I went to Kings Road after work and attended an opening of an art exhibition at the "new" Saatchi gallery there. It's not completely new, it's probably been there for about a year, but it's new for me since I've never been there before. I didn't stay long since I've been up at 4am every day this week. Made myself some dinner and thought it was about time to watch my DVD from lovefilm that I've got at home at the moment. Priscilla - Queen of the desert it was. I was so excited and realised that I'd forgotten how happy it makes you. About 20 minutes in to the film computer says no and the disc shuts down. I might re try it tomorrow, can't be bothered now. It really makes me miss my friend Bec who moved back to Australia last summer. What's up with all my friends moving so far away. From now on it will be London girls all the way for new friendships..:) Although thinking about it that didn't work out to well last time either, but that's a different story altogether.
Will probably continue on with my book instead. It's about a 14 year old girl that wakes up one morning and her family has gone missing during the night. Seems really good already even though I'm only on the third chapter.
I feel like my eyes are ready to close soon though.
I've got a nice lie in to look forward to tomorrow.

With last months vogue that I haven't had a chance to look at yet. It's very windy today but luckily my balcony is quite shielded. First meal outside this year for me:)

I feel really tired today. I am trying to work out why. The Italian and I went to Randall and Aubin (our favourite Soho hang out) after I'd finished work yesterday, and then we went to the cinema and saw Pirates of the Caribbean 4. It finished quite early and I was home by 10pm. We sat up for a bit and watched How I met your mother, and then we went to bed about 11.30pm. 

To be fair I did get up at 6am this morning to go for a run, but I don't understand why I feel this tired. 

I am going straight home after Body Combat today and then I am making some dinner, watching some TV shows and then off to bed. 

I want to have some energy for when we go off to Italy on Thursday.
