3D

The film was really funny (Horrible bosses) and now we've put on our 3D glasses. Why? Is it to watch the new Harry Potter film at a massive screen in Leicester Square. No it's to watch Street Dance in our living room. Writing this on my iPhone with 3D glasses on is quite weird.

Soft night

Watched two films Gia - such a sad story, and another step up film - still love them, this one was even from London. Even better.
And now I'm lounging around in my new favourite t-shirt watching some tv series that I've downloaded.

Tuesday

We never made it to the cinema yesterday. Instead we stayed in and had a film marathon.

The Italian started to watch Hurt Locker and I did lots of other things and after a while I got in a pissy mood and thought that the film had gone on for about two weeks and it was really boring, so I went and sat on the balcony in the rain and watched videos on my phone instead. Afterwards we watched the romcom and later in the evening we watched Saw - episode 512 or something like that. I loved the first three Saw films. After that I think enough is enough but I still leave the films thinking, ah right that was clever. This one however was a little bit too much blood and not enough brain.

We might make it to the cinema tonight instead, but it depends on what time the Italian comes home from the gym. I'm in need of a shower after a sweaty run and workout. The film starts at 8.30pm (in 20 minutes) so we'll see.

The Italian and I have just finished a slow hour and a half walk in the evening sun and we are now off to the cinema for Bad Teachers.

I won £7!!!!!
I've never won anything before....
Very excited. And I spent two of them buying a new ticket for tonight's draw. So I need those lucky fingers crossed again. Thank you!

Tuesday evening

It started off with a good cause film about feminism.

And ended up with a shallow high school film

I'm sure you've realised I'm a sucker for high school films by now though.

Now it's time for bed so I have the energy for a run in the morning.

Tuesday 21st June

The Italian also bought Get him to the Greek the other day. He watched it while he was off on Sunday and I watched it today. Definitely not my cup of tea. It was far too much drug use for my likings. I'm now trying to watch the A-team from lovefilm, but it's already broken on me once so we'll see how this turns out.
I can't wait for my hair appointment next week. My fringe is too long so I feel like a man with a comb-over. I'm combing my fringe to one side to make it look like it's supposed to be like that.
And the roots needs to be done as well. I can't believe that we are going to Sweden in less than three weeks.
And mother in law called the other day to say that it is 60 days left until we come to Italy. So it must be about 55 days left now:)
Spoke to a friend in Fez this morning and I'd love to get a weekend in there this summer as well. And I want to visit Carolina in Barcelona. And when Carin's baby arrives I'm planning a trip to Oslo as well. I wish there were more weeks in the year. And especially more weeks in the summer:)
The DVD broke again. Let's try it in the laptop instead. Otherwise it's the third film in a row that I'm sending back that I wasn't able to watch. All other films work fine in the player. Tiring.

New week

Although it feels like Sunday today for some reason.
Last night when I got home the Italian had been to the DVD shop.
I'd already seen the killers, but with my girl crush on Katherine Heigl I was more than happy to see it again.
But first we watched She's out of my league. I'm not sure if I was in a particularly giddy mood yesterday, but I found it really funny. I laughed almost all the way through.
I read somewhere that there was a Swedish girl in SATC2 and for some reason I thought it was the nanny. So when I realise that she was the hot girl in the film I said that to the Italian and he said I knew it, all hot girls are Swedish. And then as we watched the film I started to doubt myself. Googled her when the film was over and had to admit that she is in fact British.
She is very pretty indeed. Beautiful contagious smile.
I do however wonder who the Swedish girl is in SATC2 then?

Rewind

On Monday night when I was sitting at home feeling angry about my day, the Italian made me blow out all the candles that were cheering me up, and come with him to the video store for a DVD that would cheer me up instead.
I chose The Dilemma because I like Vince Vaughn and I thought it'd be funny. It was - at least for the first 20 minutes which is all I managed to stay awake for. The Italian wasn't too amused since he'd bought two other films that he'd rather watch. But in the end he told me that it was very good and I am going to watch it tonight after the gym when I've got the flat to myself.

Tuesday night.

I left the sunshine on the balcony for a bowl of raspberries with Greek yoghurt (yum) and Seven (not so yum). And now I think we might sign out for today. I've only had max 6 hours sleep the last few days and I'm back up at 4 tomorrow so an early night sounds good.

Movie night

I had a choice of three films and I chose to spend my Saturday night with a King. I missed it when it was on at the cinema and I am really enjoying it.
The snack, however, was there never a question about.

Fajitas

Last night I met up with the Italian in Covent garden and we went to cafe Pacifico for Mexican. I haven't been there for a few years but it was just as buzzing and good as I remember it.

After that we walked home. I'd had this tiny headache all day and on the way home it exploded into a full on pounding pain. So when the Italian suggested that we'd watch Paranormal Activity 2 when we got home I was brave enough to say yes because I knew I'd sleep all the way through. Said and done, at 8pm my eyes closed and I only woke up when he turned on the lights as the film finished. I then moved myself from the sofa to the bed and fell straight back to sleep. Even so, when the alarm went off at 5.30 this morning it was tough to get up.

But I did, off course, and I even managed to fit in a swim before work. Yay! Well done me:) let's get on with this week. I'm on day 6 today and there's only five days to go until my day off. Can't wait.

Full

As always after a restaurant visit lately I am full to the brim.

We had a starter each (I had scallops) and then we shared some risotto and tagliatelle between six of us, after that I had sea bream for main course before some ice cream for dessert. I off course tried some of the chocolate nemesis. That's the whole point of going to the river cafe. Ok, maybe not but almost. It was lovely to sit outside on the terrace since I've hardly Seen the sun all week. I feel a bit light headed now though after drinking Rose in the sun. Now we're off to the cinema with some chocolate. X

Friday night.

The restaurant date might have been cancelled, but with an Italian chef in the house we did alright anyway. Burrata with sunblushed tomatoes and baby aubergine. Yum! And then we decided to go to the cinema after all. Limitless - a very cool and interesting film. And now we are watching on more episode of criminal minds before going to bed.

Wednesday night

Half asleep on the sofa. Just finished watching I am love. It was good. Maybe I should start to watch more films in Italian. Will I be fluent before our next visit in May perhaps...?? I hadn't realised that it was a subtitled film. I don't have time for those. I am always running around doing a million things in the flat whilst watching a film. Can't do that with a subtitled film. You need to keep your eye on the screen and READ the film. You can't just listen. So now I have to do the washing up and fold clothes and hang clothes. Normally I would have done that during the film and gone straight to bed afterwards.

I spoke to my mum this morning. I wanted to put the volume up because the phone had suddenly gone really quiet so when I was going to hang the washing in the mean time and put the phone in-between my ear and my shoulder I couldn't hear anything. My mum said that it was because she was wearing a head set since she was ironing her clothes at the same time. Ah so that's where I get it from... It always makes me laugh talking on the phone with my family. We're all the same. Always doing a million things. We can never just sit down and concentrate on the conversation. Any way I've lost my train of thought here.

Ah the film.. Yes good. Very Italian. Quite dark. Now I'm going to get ready for bed, in desperate need of a shower before the Italian comes home and decides to divorce me because of my lack of hygiene.

Change of plans

Roberts sister decided to go into labour this afternoon so our dinner got postponed. I'm glad I didn't get the message until I was already on my way to the gym. I don't think I would've gone otherwise (I was going to meet him around the corner from the gym afterwards). Very exciting for his sister indeed!! I decided to treat myself to some nice dinner anyway so I made myself some spelt pancakes that I'm having with blueberries and creme fraiche or my mix of feta cheese tomatoes and spinach:) yum! All this while watching I am love on DVD. Not too shabby for a second choice...:)

The film

I went out of the cinema wondering who thought it would be a good idea to watch this film.

The Italian seemed to think it was me, I think he's right.

However, knowing what the film was like I wonder if it was such a great idea after all.

And not only did I freak out a few times during the film, the way home was a real freak fest.

First if all when we got out of the theatre there was a man preaching about Jesus. This happens quite a lot in London but I haven't seen it for a long time.

10 minutes later when we get on the tube, there is a woman with a canvas bag that had a picture of Jesus in front of it. I have never seen a bag like that before.

The train was filled with school children and at the end of the journey one of them takes of his jacket and shows off his jumper that says St somebodies school on it.

The Italian thought I was being ridiculous freaking out about all this, but after seeing a film about exorcism and freaky church things I don't think it was that surprising that I flipped out a little.

Watching two episodes of Criminal Minds when we got home actually made me feel light hearted...

Tonight

I almost feel like I am in a normal relationship at the moment.

We had Sunday night off together, Monday night off together, tonight off together AND he came to see me on my lunch break today and watched me eat a salad at Napket.

We are giving the guys at BAU (Criminal Minds) a break tonight and we are going to watch the Rite instead.

Something tells me that the nightmares will still be just as many, but maybe in a different form.

The dilemma of the day is obviously that I am not supposed to eat any sweets...

And all I can think about is that Patrick Cox' cup cakes are kind of on the way...

Yesterday the Italian and I actually made it to the cinema (don't worry we watched criminal minds as well...) and we saw The Adjustment Bureau.

I thought it would be exactly like the Bourne films, and I couldn't really see the point of him making another film like that, just a different title.

It wasn't.

This film is witty (well off course it it - Emily Blunt is in it), clever but most of all, a great love story.

I really, really enjoyed it, and then the fact that Ms Blunt is extremely gorgeous doesn't hurt either.

Hmmm

Not overly impressed with it... I didn't like the ending!

I am now making some dinner and I'm planning to watch The Ugly Truth next.

Katherine Heigl is always a hit, and after the producer of "Life as We know It" told me that she is just as lovely in real life I fell in love with her even more...

Hang on! I can smell something burning
