Bershka Shopping

The jeans are old but the top and the shoes and the scarfe (on my head) is all from my shopping yesterday.

I love the shoes, I was in need of some flat summery shoes and these were exactly what I was looking for.

The earrings are from French Connection but the scarf is also from Bershka.
Ok enough now the SATC girls are waiting for me;)

Preparation for Sweden trip

The Italian has gone out for a friends leaving do, so my plan is to watch the first SATC film with a nice cup of tea so it is fresh in my memory when I watch the second one with my lovely sister next Saturday;)

♥♥ Bershka ♥♥

Never really noticed Bershka before because the shop window here looks like it is for 12 - 14 year olds.
But when C was here in January she told me that I would probably quite like it. The shop was closed at the time because it was 11pm, and I forgot all about it afterwards.

Until yesterday when I went in and found lots of goodies:)

A blue day

It started with a bad hair day, and a need to cover it in a scarf, two minutes later I've made a mission of finding everything blue that I could put on...
My beautiful bangles
The gorgeous ear-rings.
And my new favourite ring
Yesterday when I bought some products from Toni & Guy I got some samples, so today I smell of...

It's very sweet, but fresh and summery, I like it.
It seems to disappear quite quickly though unfortunately. The smell is almost gone already and it's only been about an hour since I put it on..

Now I am going to walk to the centre and see if I can find something nice to wear while I'm in Sweden next week.

Have a lovely Thursday

A week today ♥ ♥

Let the countdown begin.
I would just like to tell the Ash cloud that don't even think about messing up my plans to go to Sweden.
This time next week I'll be in Gothenburg having lunch with my sweetie friend K and her son A. Haven't seen her for such a long time.

Then off to Halmstad where I'll stay for the rest of the weekend. Back to London Tuesday.

It feels weird to think that last time I was there it looked like this.
Then again, knowing my luck it'll probably snow while I am there;)

But I am hoping for sunshine so me and A and her daughter T can go to the beach on Friday.
NOT bikini ready however, but I bought two new ones yeaterday, and let's face it I am never going to feel ready to walk around half naked in public...

6-3 vs 8-5

A few weeks ago when I started my new job (still the same company, but a different job title) I was asked if I preferred to work from 6am to 3pm or from 8am to 5pm.

I said that it didn't matter. Whatever they felt was best.

So I ended up doing 6-3 for a few weeks.
And then last week I was put on 8-5 all week, and I felt like a completely different person. I no longer felt like someone had punched me in the head with a hammer all day.

If I was asked to go out in the evening I said "off course" instead of "no way, I'm getting up at 4am".

I am not sure if that is the only reason, or if it is also the fact that I worked for three days, had two days off worked for two days, had one day off and now I have worked for two days and am off today again.

I'll probable have to wait and see how I feel next Wednesday night when I have worked 6 days in a row, all evenings, days and doubles mixed.

But I will be on some sort of high then anyway because I am going to SWEDEN for five days ♥ ♥

Can't wait.

Reporting from Brighton

We've had a lovely day with this beautiful clear blue sky, lounging in these chairs for a few hours.
The Italian even went down to feel the water (super cold)
And I pretended to be a papparazzi, which didn't go to well with the zoom on my camera;)

After that we played tourists for a bit

By the pier....

And by the entrance to the pier....
And on the pier....
We decided to stop our touristing and have something to eat
Lots of fried stuff and some salad

Sun sun sun

We've had the most amazing last few days.
Saturday I finished at 3pm and went home and had an early dinner on the balcony and then we spent the evening in the park just chilling out.
Yesterday I finished early as well and we went straight to the park for some sunbathing.
The evening was spent on the balcony reading and talking.
Today is just as hot (about 27C;)) so we are probably going to go to Brighton.
The sun has been so strong the last few days that my poor candles on the balcony has completely melted;)
I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine as well.

Friday Night

I went to work for an hour in the afternoon yesterday and as I cycled there and back, in my skirt with no tights, I felt that there is no way that I can go home now and spend the night inside.
As soon as I got home The Italian said - We HAVE to go out tonight, it's such a lovely night.
So we went into Soho and had a few drinks with some people from work to spend some time with R who is going back to Oz in a couple of weeks to have a baby.
J & R
I was very excited because they haid Swedish cider - Kopparbergs, so I had five... VERY sweet....
I went with the same outfit as in the day, I just added a scarf and changed some accessories on my arm. (the other arm though so you can't see)

We got home to a boiling hot flat so we slept with the balcony door open. It was so lovely to wake up to the sound of the birds and the smell of summer.

Now, off to work, but I feel very pleased with my two days off with The Italian and some friends.

Friday 21 May 2010

Friday - another day off:)

It's been a gorgeous sunny day today so we decided to walk down to the thames and chill out there for a bit
The Italian decided to celebrate summer with an ice cream

while I had lunch
And I decided to celebrate it by wearing a skirt without tights/leggins for the first time this year;)
Yay summer is here!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday Night

Last night was spent watching this film.
And when I say last night I really mean ALL of last night. It was 2 hours AND 26 minutes.... (!!)
In the end, both me and the Italian were so annoyed with their voices that we just left the TV on and he went to speak to a friend on the phone and I started to do the washing up from dinner.
I couldn't bring myself to switch it off though because I had already watched 1.45 when I realised how extremely long this film was.
The film itself was ok and it had it's funny moments but it could have easily been cut in half!

Last night

I went to Dean Street town house for dinner with my lovely friends A & A after work.
This was a bit morally wrong for some reason, but we were still curious about the place and wanted to have a look.
I brought my camera with me but I completely forgot to use it, so I had to steal this photo from the Indepenents website, but the funny thing is, that it is actually the exact table we sat on...
We had a great time - off course. Lots of chatting and gossiping, it's been a while since we've been able to catch up for various reasons.
But we have now already planned in our next date so I really hope that will happen.
After dinner we went for a drink in a pub across the road. Since it was such a lovely evening we decided to sit outside. Only to get outside and realise that there were no seats and we were only allowed to be out there if we fancied squeezing up next to 20 other people in a square meter little thing...
We felt like we were on the tube. But never mind, it was nice anyway, and I can't wait for the next time.

One of the A's. (An old picture from my birthday last year)

Thursday - day off

I thought that it would be a great idea to go to the city farm today since it was a lovely day and I wanted to see what kind of animals they have there.
On our way there we came a cross this really cute little cafe. They had lots of nice sandwiches and cakes, but unfortunately we had just had a massive breakfast so we only had a cup of tea. I will definately be back though when I feel peckish because it was so lovely and I have missed to have a nice coffee shop around here.
Once we got to the city farm I got very dissapointed. All I could see was lots of hens and goose and some other birds.
We walked for a bit further and saw this MASSIVE pig who, according to the websie, seems to be called Bella. Other than that I didn't see any other animals at all.
I think we did it wrong somehow and we must've missed a big part of the farm.
I am just not sure where that part would be, but never mind...
I suppose that I was expecting some sort of "slottsskog" like we have in Gothenburg, Sweden, but this definitely wasn't ANYTHING like that.
It was a nice walk anyway and we have spent most part of the day outside.
Now we're just chilling out at home, not too sure what we'll get up to tonight.
Oh and by the way I overtook another dude in the park this morning. Yay!
I will soon post about what I got up to last night.

Monday 17 May 2010

It was still there;)

Monday

Yesterday's film was a bit so-so. It was quite interesting in the end, but to get there it had some slooooow moments. We went to the shop next door to buy some sweets but were then told that we are not allowed to bring in sweets from ooutside. So we had to stand in the door way like some naughty schoolkids and eat the magnums that we bought so they wouldn't melt, and then hand over our bag of chocolate, only to pick it up after the film(!!)
Insane.
After the film we went to Pret and I had half a salad. After about half an hour they closed and we got kicked out.
So we went to Haagen Dasz and bought some ice cream. While we were sitting outside it started to pour with rain so we had to leave there as well. In the end we just decided to go home.
He got on the bus and I walked towards my bike only to remember that I had left my helmet locked up with my bike. Didn't really feel like putting it on my head when it was filled with water so I got on the tube, and now I am going to walk into work and hope that my bike is still there.
Beautiful sunshine so far this morning so it should be a nice walk. I accidently got up an hour too early this morning but that meant that I have been able to sit here and relaxe a bit before having to leave for work.

I hope you are having a nice start to the week as well.

Sunday 16 May 2010

Sunday

We had a lovely lie-in and didn't get out of bed until 11 this morning.

I made the mistake of watching the Hollyoaks omnibus, while I was doing some exercises after my run, and now I'm a little bit hooked again.
I thought I could handle it but it ended quite exciting and then I just saw an advert for something that's happening next week and I feel I might have to find out what happens there...
But then again, maybe not....

I am now getting ready to go and meet N. We are going to the cinema to make up for the fact that we had to cancel our night out on Thursday. Can't wait for a nice gossip session.

Great Night

The Italian's food was well received, and the plates were almost literally licked, all the way down to the last course (= the 5th course).
And after they'd gone he even did all the washing up so we didn't have to do it this morning.
So this is what we woke up to this morning as the only prove of last night.
Except maybe the cramp in our cheeks from all the laughing....

Thanks guys for such a great night;)

Saturday 15 May 2010

Dressed and ready

And the Italian is still cooking, and cooking, and cooking....

I almost feel a bit sorry for him, but then again, he does love it. And he has made it very clear that I am NOT welcome in the kitchen to help him.

So all I can do is chill and listen to some nice music. Life could be worse;)

Ready for summer

with some of the things I picked up on my shopping today. This jump suit is so lovely and came from H&M with the ring on my finger as well. The sunglasses are the ones from MW that I received the other day, and the wedges are from MuiMui.
Well I say I am ready for summer but obviously a pedicure and some tan would help....
I could really pictrue myself wearing this in Italy though, when we are on our way to the Italians best friend P's boat;)
Or just walking around in the city doing some shopping as well.
I loved it so much I bought it in brown as well;)
Now we are getting prepared for a visit from V & B. The Italian has already started cooking, so maybe I should start getting ready as well.
Hope you'll have a lovely Saturday night.

Double Trouble

I have just found out that I have to work a double today now:(

Never mind, no need to sulk about it. At least I have the weekend off with my prince.

I made my self my favourite snack at the moment to cheer myself up a bit (cottage cheese and apple) so that's what I am going to entertain myself with now.

I hope you are all having a lovely day, and that everyone in Sweden are enjoying their four day weekend....

Sounds nice;)

Good-Bye Sleep

N didn't feel very well so we had to cancel tonight, spent the night on the sofa cuddled up next to the Italian watching this god-forsaken film instead...

We were supposed to watch it in the cinema, but for some reason we never did. Oh My God am I glad that we didn't do that. I couldn't have handled this film in the cinema.....

I wouldn't even suggest it to my worst enemy.

At least I am glad that I convinced the Italian to watch it while it was still light outside. I literally didn't breath for an hour and a half.

Phew, now I am waiting for Grey's Anatomy to start to calm me down a bit.

Jennifer Lopez

We went to see this film last night. It was your typical rom-com film, but it was also absolutely hilarious and laugh-out-loud in a lot of places.

Jennifer Lopez looked fantastic and the guy was a bit of eye candy for us girls as well.

Seeing my lovely N tonight and W and J might come as well so it should be great fun. Some dinner and drinks in Soho will do me good:)

Now I'm late for work, (as usual)

Have a great day.

Monday 10 May 2010

Sleepy Girl

Had BIG plans for tonight to have a nice night at home with the Italian.

Got home and was on my way out for a run. But I made the big mistake of putting myself on the bed while I was on the phone to C. No way that I had energy for a run after that, so I  watched an episode of Cougar Town (that I fell asleep to last night) while the Italian was cooking.

After dinner I thought it would be nice to cuddle up on the sofa and watch a film that lovefilm sent.

This was in theory lovely, except that I fell asleep after about five minutes and slept all the way through the film, and then through and episode of Fresh Prince in Bel Air that was on TV.

Ah well at least we got some quality time together last night when we went to Pizza East for dinner. I am not too sure what has happened to that place. It is still really funky and trendy, but the food and service has truly gone downhill... Unfortunately.

I am trying to work out why we keep going back, I think that we always have our hopes up that it will be like it used to be in the beginning.

Rockstar chick is now on her way to bed:)

Night Night.

Sunday 9 May 2010

Visit from my parents continued...

Thurasday night was spent in our absolute favourite Restaurant - L'Anima
The next morning I met up with mum and dad early and we walked along the canal to Camden

Off course I just had to take them to Yumchaa for lunch
When we got home the Italian was cooking away and we sat down for a bit and relaxed before dinner
A gorgeous meal made by a gorgeous man;)
The next day we went to Spitalfields market and "fikade"
Check out my dead hot leather jacket that I bought in Camden;)
Before heading off into town for some shopping
These lovely few days were finished off in an Italian restaurant for lunch.
Thank you for an amazing time and for being my parents. I miss you already.
