Mr Darcy does it again

After my run and shower and lunch I was sure that I had to go to the post office, but then I realised that I can do it tomorrow, very excited I slipped into my pyjamas and decided to stay in for the rest of the day:)

Missed the Italian a lot so decided to cheer myself up with the second round of Mr Darcy and Bridget.

Threw the Italians glasses on and pressed play. While I was watching the Italian phoned and I told him that I was busy with Mr Darcy so I couldn't talk.

Hang on, what did I just do, the reason I am watching this in the first place is because he is not here... So I paused Mr D and called the Italian back and told him that I miss him a lot.

It finished at 5.30pm and still no Italian at home, so all I wanted to do was bury my face in a big box of chocolate. Made dinner instead and now I am trying to decide which film to watch next.

Hang on, Friends just started on E4.

That's me sorted for the evening.

I did it

I went to the opticians this morning and they put some orange dye thing in my eyes and told me to wait an hour before putting in my contact lenses again. I decided to give my eyes a rest all day and won't be putting them in until tomorrow morning.

Going for a run was therefor a bit of a guessing game... How far away is that car? Oh my god is that a horse? Oh right, no, just a massive dog.
In all this confusion however, I did it, I over took a guy (!) a healthy looking, young guy, not over weight or old or anything..:)

I still didn't beat my time though so maybe we should just agree on the fact that the girl that over took me the other day was running faster than the guy that I over took today and I haven't actually improved at all...

Ah well, never mind, made me feel good though.

Got home in time for Loose Women which I watched (well listened to, since I can't see anything), and now I am going to make myself some lunch.

A crush

I am now sitting here with a big smile on my face and a bit of a crush on Mr Darcy...

And now time for Dr Mc Dreamy.

Precaution

I have already phoned the Italian and left a message to say that I am eating the last bit of the Italian cake. So surely he can't get upset with me now?

Photo Less Day

I went for a power walk this morning but you've seen that journey before and then I was going to go to the cinema but decided to cycle to Notting Hill instead and spend some time with the Italian when he had a few hours off, we sat in Caffe Nero and I had a chocolate muffin. I realised that it wasn't the full moon yesterday, I just don't really like muffins anymore.... So I didn't want to take a photo of that because I got upset and grumpy.

Cycled home and made myself some lovely dinner, sea bream with tomato and spinach cous cous. Got so excited about the result and thought - now, this is it, this is my photo opportunity, this is beautiful.

But just as I was taking the fish out of the oven, the Italian phoned and I lost my concentration and burnt my fingers, had to throw the whole tray on the floor. When I finally composed myself enough to pick it up from the floor and put the tray back in the oven I drop a fork on my toe...

So I am now sitting here with a bandage on my foot and my hand in an ice bucket (well maybe not quite, but almost). So as I am sure that you understand it was a bit hard to take a photo of it in the end. It tasted delicious though and I am now going to cheer myself up and watch Bridget Jones's diary while I am waiting for Grey's Anatomy to start.

Done, done and done

Had breakfast, watched the film and booked a table at fifteen:)

Heard that once again there are some flights that are being cancelled due to the ash, I really, really hope that won't happen next week. And if it is going to happen then please happen while they are here so they have to stay for a bit longer;)

Bonus Day Off

I was supposed to work today but got a second day off this week in the end:) I still woke up early and starving, I went for a run after dinner last night and then I didn't have anything else to eat. So I am now going to have some breakfast and watch the film that I never watched last night because I found Jamie Does.. Stockholm on TV. I recorded it for the Italian, he always asks me about typical Swedish dishes and I can never think of anything to tell him except meatballs, and if you tell an italian that meatballs is a Swedish dish you get into a LONG discussion about the Italian meatballs blah blah blah.

Anyway it made me think about maybe going to Fifteen next week when my parents come over. It is not far from us and I actually haven't been yet. I also want to take them to L'anima though, which is our favourite, but I am sure that we could have time for both...:)

No Doubt

Yep it's definately full moon. I fancied something sweet on my lunch break today so I bought a blueberry muffin from Starbucks. After I'd eaten about half of it I felt full (?!?) and didn't want any more so I threw rest of it away. That has NEVER happened to me before.

So I felt, yeah there's something in the air today, for sure.

Don't worry though I have made up for it since then by having some tea cakes at work and then some Italian cake when I got home, but I still scared myself a little.

Full Moon

I woke up last night after a weird dream, and I was so sure I had over slept and everything in my dream kept telling me that I was late for work.

I looked at the time and it was 1.30am, I know I get up early, just not quite that early.

Got to work on time in the end and people were telling me about their weird dreams, J was sure he didin't have to come to work today because of what he had done in his dream.

We thought it was a bit strange that we were all affected by this and then it hit us.... So we googled, and there it was, a big fat full moon on the full moon calender, well actually to be picky, the full moon is today and doesn't come into effect until about 6pm tonight, but I always think that I can feel it a few days either way..

I don't think I have ever noticed the full moon until I started at this job. However here I never fail to notice it, the strangest people come out at this time, they have no idea what's up or down.

I used to think that it was a myth how the full moon affects people, but not anymore.

I was going to go for a run tonight but I am not sure I am brave enough, might just stay on the sofa under the duvet and watch 500 days of summer that arrived in the post from love film today:)

Loving it vs Not so Much

I love that, when you go for a run in the park, other runners smile at you as if you have some sort of special running bond

However, I don't love so much that when I feel, wow I'm doing really great, running at a good pace and it feels good, some dude OVERTAKES YOU!!

What's that about, don't get me wrong, I overtake people as well, the only difference is that they're not running. They're standing still or perhaps walking....

And then at the end I'm so sure I've beaten my last time, so I keep watching the count down time thingy and in the end I have in fact beaten it - by three seconds... 

Ah well next time I'll be the one over taking everyone in the park. You'll see. 

Date Night

Yesterday we were supposed to go to a barbecue at a friends house. But it was raining quite a lot in the morning so we changed our plans for cinema and dinner instead. The sunshine did however show it's face quite a few times later on, but so did the rain so I still think that we made the right decision.

Plus we LOVE going to the cinema so I always think that is the right choice....

We went to see Date Night and it was hilarious. After that we went to a local chinese restaurant and then on to our ice cream cafe that it is VERY dangerous to have down the road. 

Needless to say I woke up feeling quite full from last night. While I was in the shower the Italian got up and asked if I wanted him to make me breakfast. I said that I would just have an actimel and that's all I could fit in this morning. But I still put him in the best boyfriend category for getting up at 4am and offer to make me breakfast. 

He has now gone back to bed and I am off to work.

Yep

I'd seen it before and I now remember feeling just as bad last time, after I'd seen it, as I do now....

NOT a feel-good film at all.....

Had to comfort eat some Nutella afterwards to make myself feel better...

Off to bed now, early start tomorrow and the Italian is off tomorrow night so I don't want to be too tired then.

Night Night

Saturday night

Just got back from a long run, 1 hour to be precise. My legs feels very very heavy. So I am now going to jump in the shower and then I'll make some grilled salmon dinner, pretty similar to the one from the other night I think.

After that my legs are going to get a well deserved rest on the sofa while watching Little Children that lovefilm sent.

I just cannot for the life of me remember whether I've seen it before or not... Ah well time will tell I am sure...

In the park

What a gorgeous gorgeous day:)

we were pretty much the only ones there, me like...

the Italian had a bit of a snooze in the sunshine (not sure why he is wearing such a thick jumper, I was practically lying in just my underwear...)

and I got some freckles on my nose;) Oh how I miss them in the wintertime... Lying in the park also results in this beautiful bed head look I've got going on here.

The Italian has now gone out for a meeting and I will throw on some comfy clothes and go for a power walk.

Big Family

I've never seen so many ducklings in one family.

I could've easily turned into a bit of an Attenborough today with all the cute animals I saw in the park, but I thought I'd spare you all my amateur photos and only give you this one...

Change of Plans

I did neither, instead the Italian phoned me to say that he was on his way home and fancied to go out for some cocktails... Hmm who am I to say no.

So we ended up here in this newly opened restaurant/bar around the corner from us. Not too sure about the food, I only had some tapas style food in the bar, but looking at the main menu it didn't really grab me either. The place itself however, was really nice with nice music as well. So as a bar I will certainly use it again.

I tried to catch up, but I am not too good with cocktails, so stuck to champagne and only managed two...

It was a lovely night however, and now the sun is shining today and I think we will go to the park and chill for a few hours...

Hard run

Today is hot enough so I could wear just this on my run this morning. 3/4 trousers and a singlet top. Found it really hard today though and at first I couldn't think why, but then I realised that I'm probably still not 100% and also I haven't had any water for the last three days. Which is very unlike me, but my throat has been so sore and my nose so blocked that I haven't been able to breath for long enough while drinking a zip of water....

Dramaqueen? Who? Me? 

Anyway, I had to walk for a little bit today but it was still nice to go out and get some fresh air. 

The Italian had to go off to work for a meeting this morning, but he is now on his way home and we will go to see M and the baby today:) 

My evening

I made myself a nice healthy dinner as soon as I came home from work, and then I jumped in my trainers and went for a power walk for 80 minutes. Nice:)

Now film that love film sent me, and fruit salad that I made:)

Summer is here:)

I still feel a bit under the weather, but it felt great to go for a power walk in the sunshine today, and listen to the black birds sing and smell all the great smells of summer, like cut grass, the flowers and even the water from the canal:)

And now I'm on the sofa with a nice cup of tea watching 90210.

Only one day left of this eight day strestch and then two whole days off. Yay!

it is such a beautiful route, and I am really pleased that I've found it.

A big no-no

Last night the Italian told me that he fancied watching a film. Ok, I said, I got this film from the Independent yesterday that seems quite interesting let's watch that. By interesting I meant, Christian Bale is in it and he is a great actor, but I haven't actually got a clue what it's about.

Anyway, as we start to watch the film I feel physically sick with how thin he is.... As the film goes on I realise that I don't really care too much about the main guy in the film so I have a bit of a snooze on the Italian's shoulder instead. I wake up every once in a while and watch for a bit and then sleep again and so on. Normally this would freak me out and I would have to then watch the whole film again to make sure I didn't miss anything.... But this time I asked the Italian to tell me the end instead so I don't have to watch it.

A shame because Christian Bale (like I thought) is absolutely amazing in it, but the story didn't grab me unfortunately.

Baby Animals

I am not feeling too hot today, I've got a sore throat and feel just generally under the weather, so I decided to skip the run, and go for a power walk instead. Hmm not really sure how I was thinking there.... Never mind, anyway, while I was walking passed the city farm I saw that a few of the animals had little babies with them, and then when I was by the canal I saw three little ducklings:) They were so so so so cute, unfortunately I didn't bring my camera with me so you will just have to take my word for it....

Confessions of a nerd

The most glorious day ever today, so after work and hairdresser was over and done with, I got home, got changed and went for a run.

When I get to the canal it's completely packed with people having barbeque parties and drinking and talking with all their friends in the sunshine.

And then in the park the same thing, and what do I do? That's right I'm running in the park....

I can feel everybody watching me thinking

 "-Aw poor little "fat" girl, having to go for a run at 8pm on a Saturday night"

"-Aw poor her, she's got no friends and has to go running on a Saturday night instead"

WAIT, STOP!!! I do have friends. I just happen to also have a job....

I suppose that's the price you have to pay for working all sorts of hours every day of the week. I have no idea when you are supposed to have Friday/Saturday feelings and organise/attend a dead-hot partay.... 

Sorry, I now have got to keep up my rockstar life style and get ready for bed....

Take-Back

I'd like to take back what I said about it being easy to get out of bed nowadays.

We went back to Platform last night and had dinner with lovely V and B, and let me tell you, I did NOT feel like springing out of bed, jumping up and down this morning, sunshine outside my window or not.....  

But it's ok, at least I finish early today so I can have an early night. We got home at a decent time though, it was before midnight, but when the alarm went off at 5am it didn't feel like midnight was a decent time to go to bed;) Totally worth it tough because we had so much fun, and again a nice walk along the river and Tower Bridge to get home:)

Now I need to jump in the shower and get ready for work.

The sun is shining. It is so so so so so much easier to get up in the morning when it's light and the sun is shining. I LOVE IT!

Downloaded Timbalands album last night. Was only supposed to get the song with Nelly Furtado, but then I saw that the whole album had 4 1/2 stars.

Right, that made up my mind, and the whole album got downloaded, so that's whats playing here in East London this morning,

Tom Ford

Is launching a new lipstick.

I am not too keen on lipsticks and I am more of a lipgloss girl, but when I received an email the other day with this picture I fell in love with it.

And then today a girl came into work wearing it, and I commented on how great her lipstick looked (which I never do) so when she told me that it was Tom Ford's new range and that it feels exacly like lipbalm, I realised that one of these will certainly live in my make up bag as soon as it's launched;)

Quiet night

Tonight is just spent at home, catching up on the last three (!!) months of Vogue, that for various reasons I haven't had a chance to look at until now.

So now I'm ready to rob the nearest bank and go on a MASSIVE shopping spree... So many beautiful things.

Quite tired after getting up at 4am today, but hopefully I can keep my eyes open for another hour and a half so I can watch Grey's Anatomy;)

Not so pregnant belly anymore...:)

A new baby girl was born today;) My lovely M has given birth to a healthy little daughter. I am so so so excited. I sent her a message to say that apparently today is the most popular birthday in Sweden accoring to some statistics thingy, so maybe today will be the day, and she texts me back to say that she gave birth two hours ago:)

My Hair

Ever since I was sixteen I've had all sorts of colours in my hair. When I first thought about having it platinum blonde it took about 2 years until I finally found a hairdresser (my lovely friend C - who has now moved to oz, what is it with my hair dressers and moving away...) who understood what colour I wanted and got it right for me.

But.... that was now about six years ago and I feel that I am ready for some change.... However, as soon as I start thinking about what colour I would like instead I just cannot come up with anything that I would like as much. But now when every other person is platinum blonde it just doesn't feel so special anymore either.

So.... the other day, when we went to see the bounty hunter, I saw it, I saw the colour I could picture myself with....

But then when I got to work the next day L decided to tell me that he thought it would be too mousy with short hair, and in that case I had to grow my hair long.

I begged to differ with this photo

Ha, I bet you thought that I was going to bring out "the famous hair-do"...

Anyway, an hour or so later, a woman came in to work, that I have never met before, and told me how much she loved my hair, and what a great colour it was... hmmm typical...

And then when we went out for dinner last night a guy a the next table told me that he loved my hair colur and my hair.... grrrrrrrrr, why is it always like that. So now I'm really confused.....

Power walk in the sunshine

Last night

And then in the evening we went to a new restaurant that opened on Saturday called Platform. It's in London Bridge and they are doing a soft opening for friends and family this week, which meant that the food was free and all we had to pay for was drinks and service. All we had to do was fill in a form in the end to say what we thought about everything, if anything could improve for next time etc. When we got there we ran into a couple at work so we ended up having dinner with them which was nice. The food was amazing, really, really good. We will be going back soon:)

They have their own farm in Devon as well so they bring in fresh food in the morning and then the menu keeps changing throughout the day depending on whats left of the cow etc. Great concept and great food. So make sure you get down there. Like I said free food until the end of this week and then 50% until the end of April so a great opportunity to try it. It's a beautiful venue as well.

On the way home we walked to Tower Hill and it was so beautiful on Tower Bridge but I was a bit cold and only had my iphone so the quality of all the photos I took were really bad, this is the only one that was half decent... A lovely night though, and please don't forget to go there....

Pregnant belly and baby

My day yesterday was spent with E and her little Isobel and...

....(a headless) M with her beautiful 39 week belly....

We had a lovely time as always in the sunshine eating snacks and chatting away. Next time we'll see each other will probably be in the hospital after the baby is born:)

Dispute with my skirt

My lovely skirt, well dress actually, decided that it was going to pretend that it lived on Marilyn Monroe all the way to my friends house today. So I had to stop my bike a few times and have a quiet word with it, and in the end it calmed down a bit.

A bit of luck

I can't believe how good this Sweden trip turned out:) First of all my lovely C will arrive the day before I fly back so I can have a nice gossip session with her. Secondly the release date for satc2 in Sweden is on the 28th may which means that I can watch it with my sister when I am there:)

I am so so so excited.

Oh dear

Remember the 10k run I wrote about a few weeks ago? Turns out it's on my birthday so I decided not to go for that one. I had my mind set on doing it by then though, so I googled for other dates and found one on the 31 st may.

It was however already booked up unless you went through a sponsor, so I emailed one a couple of weeks ago to see if I could run for them.

I didn't hear anything back so I put the though out of my mind. And then today I get an email that they need my address so they can send the runners pack!!! I nearly had a heart attack.

It seems like I'm really doing this. Wish me luck....

Sunday afternoon

Yesterday when I finished The Italian came to meet me at work and we went to Leicester Square to the cinema. I had plans for dinner at j-sheekey's oyster-bar or the townhouse but The Italian got held up on the way to come and meet me so we were a bit too late for that, instead we ended up at lovely Wagamamas:) Which meant that since it is healthy food we could eat chocolate and popcorn at the cinema without feeling guilty;) 

Before the film started they showed the trailer for the satc2 film;) I got SOOOO excited that I squeezed the Italians arm all the way through.... He was not best pleased and ended up with a minor bruise.... I just couldn't help myself.

I can't wait!!!!!

Busy Morning

After a week of 7am starts, it was nice to have a later start today. And all the things you have time to do in the morning:) 

I went for a 45 minute run, bought a flight ticket to go to Sweden at the beginning of June, ordered a massive online shop at Sainsbury's AND had time to have a shower wash my hair, and breakfast after my run:)

All this before I had to get on the ike to work at 8.30am. 

I love it when I am efficient. 

18C and sunny in London today:)

I was only wearing my zebra t-shirt underneath my coat on the bike his morning. And I hope that when I finish at 4 I can skip the coat and cycle home in just the t-shirt. Spring is here!!!

Gorgeous Sunny Day:)

Was spent mostly inside at work. But lovely L came in this morning which put a smile on my face. After I finished I went over to see C and her little boy, who is growing in to a real little man:) He is very flirty already at only 16 months old;)

After that I went back to Mayfair and had a few drinks with a couple of people at work to celebrate H's milestone birthday. It was a lovely afternoon, and I left early enought to JUST catch Grey's Anatomy as I got home:) It was great as always. Now I'm off ot bed. Good Night.

Last Night

Was spent with my loved one on the sofa watching cougar town again because he missed it the night before and he really likes it as well. I like that we have some tv shows that we enjoy to watch together (rather than me having to force him;) ) and then we watched The Taking of Pelham 123. I really enjoed it. It's been a long time since I have watched a bad film now. The last few weeks have been filled with amazing films.

Now a new day has begun and I need to get ready for work.

Lazy Evening

I was supposed to go for a run last night, but said to myself that i had already been cycling for over two hours during the day all over London. So I gave myself the night off and crawled up on the sofa and watched 90210 and Cougar Town. Yes, I am watching 90210 which I probably shouldn't admit.... But I do actually really like it. Tonight however, no nonsense and running it is.  

Pampering day off

I have had a relaxing / stressful day off.

Relaxing because I have been cycling around in the sunshine, doing some shopping and had a pampering make up session with a Dior lady at Selfridges.

Stressful because I spent most part of the morning downloading some fitness app thingys on my iphone and then when I was going to try them out I had no connection on my phone. And then later on this afternoon my internet connection got lost altogether. And now I have switched on my computer at home only to realise that it's all messed up here as well.... Anyway these things stress me out, especially when I have been looking forward to doing something and then it doesn't work.

But it's a non-problem really and nothing a few deep breaths won't take away.

So anyway, I started off by cycling to Camden and I bought a gorgeous neckless for myself, very similar to one that P bought when she was here last week and I got inspired by her:)

I LOVE it:)

I then treated myself to some felafel lunch.

And then I cycled on to Selfridges to get an hours pampering from the make up lady.

She used the foundation that I already use, and then she got a bit over excited about my eye colour and said oooooh everyhing will go with this coulour, and then she got a bit over excited about my eye lashes and said oooooh you can really do a lot with these long lashes, and then she got a bit over excited about my cheek bones and said ooooh you have got lovely bone structure, any colour would go on you, and then to top it off she also got very excited about my lips and said ooooh any coulour would go on these lips, they have such lovely shape.... Hmm I'm thinking I came across a very good sales lady that thinks that she can make ooooh and aaah sounds about everything, and make me believe that I should buy everything she shows me because it will really show off my "lovely" features.

All it makes me think is that if I really look as good as she says, then surely I wouldn't need any of this stuff haha. Anyway, I left there £80 lighter and this is what came home with me.

I am not overly keen on how she made me up. She really put quite a lot of things on my face, and I hardly EVER wear that much make up, even when I am going out. But I did like the colour that she picked for my eyes and I was in desperate need for a powder. I was going to go for something else, but this seemed to be what was closest to the one I have already. And the lip gloss.... well I have a soft spot for lip gloss....

I am very happy to be home now though so I can wash it off;)

Tuesday Morning

A lovely sunny day outside. So I am going to hurry up and get ready, and then cycle to Camden for some shopping and maybe lunch with M if she is feeling better today. And then I might nip over to the Swedish shop on the other side of Regents Park to stock up on some Swedish food that I've ran out of.

I have however been up since 7.30am, and I haven't even made it in to the shower yet, or even out of my pyjamas. But some suspicios clouds are starting to appear so I need to get going unless I want to miss the gorgeous weather.  

Bank Holiday Monday

Was spent going for a nice run his morning and then jumping on the tube to the cinema. It was really funny, and I really enjoyed it. We didn't know what it was about, but I had heard good things about it.

Half way throught the film the fire alarm went off so everybody in the building had to go outside. After about ten minutes we were allowed back in again and the film continued. This resulted in that we received a free cinema ticket each for next time:) Yay. So now I want to go and see Bounty Hunter. Maybe later in the week.

We have now had some dinner and the Italian has gone out to but some ice cream (It's easter so I am allowed some...) and then we're going to watch the break-up.

Back to work tomorrow for most, but I have another day off to relax:)

Easter Dinner

The dinner that was re schedueled for today had to be cancelled due to the fact that ALL food shops in London are closed (??)

But I am sure that we can drown our sorrows in some nice food in our nice local restaurant instead...

And then maybe we'll do the dinner at home tomorrow night instead since I am off now for two days:)

I forgot...

I can't believe that I have forgotten to write about my cinema, dinner night with N on Thursday. We went to see this amazing film. It was not at all about what I thought, so I was pleasantly surprised. And then we just had some food and gossip at Wagamama's. Great to see him as always, but he is upset about my non-drinking scheme at the moment, so I have promised that I will have a drink with him next time...

I am off on Sunday night so maybe we will re scheduele for then, but I am on a double tomorrow as well and then I am starting early on Sunday so I am thinking that I will be quite tired, and not much fun on Sunday night... We'll see.

Quiet Girl

I have been quite distant the last few days, with no updates at all. I had a great time while my friends were over and I was hoping to put up some photos, but I hardly took any, because P kept snapping away so I was planning to steal hers. Unfortunately I am equipped with fish bowl memory and I forgot all about it before they left. As soon as they are sent to me I will put them up here.

I was also supposed to post a video from the football on Wednesday, but they seem to have removed the option to add videos (?) So that didn't work either...

It was the most amazing match for a Swedish Arsenal supporter :) Zlatan scored twice for Barcelona, I have never seen him play live before, so it was great that he scored. And then Arsenal picked up and equalized and the match ended 2-2. Amazing:) I was very, very happy....
