Mangiare

As promised here is the feast that apparently is the norm on an Italian wedding.
It all started with a buffet at 3pm
All sorts of things like meat, fish, seafood, cheese etc
A whole pig...
By the time everyone at our table (eleven people) had stocked up from the buffet we had to build towers to make it all fit on the table, by that time I was so caught up in all the food that I forgot to take a picture, but here are some of the food for a couple of us.
After that had been cleared we received a basket of fried vegetables, and some calamari
Skewers with meat
After that we moved inside for the actual dinner(!!)
Lobster starter
Paccheri with baby octopus (my favourite)
Mille fuille of pasta and vegetables
Sea bream with mussels and vegetables
Back outside for the dessert buffet
All the sweet confetti that we later got to bring home with us
And off course, the wedding cake

Wedding presents

I don't know what it's like where you come from, but where I come from the couple that is getting married is the one that gets presents. This wedding was completely different, I, as a guest, was completely spoiled with presents.
It started the day before when I had this sent up to me.
I only just opened it now when we got back home, and found the most amazing chocolates inside
And then at the wedding we got some confetti sweets to take home with us, as well as us girls got a goody bag from the bride.
Cute bottles to put perfume in.
And on top o that we got some other chocolates and a whole bag of confettis to bring home.
Very different indeed from the weddings I am used to.
Not that I am complaining, I am more than happy to get some presents, I just felt a bit guilty excepting them since I am not used to that.

Italian wedding

I am just sorting through all the photos now, and there are many to share. I am also trying to email them to the groom and it takes forever because I am doing 52000 other things on the computer at the same time so I though I'd let the computer rest for a bit and concentrate on that while I read for a bit and have some chocolate.
All I can say about the wedding so far though is that you haven't seen food until you've been to an Italian wedding, my god, I am surprised that I am able to move today - three days after the wedding.
More about that later though, i give you a picture of the place, it was gorgeous with a beautiful view of the sea and of the whole town. Super pretty. Might post something else later if the computer lets me other wise I'll keep battling with it tomorrow.
Haha actually looking at the photo now, you can't actually see the place at all, just me. But you can see the view of the sea in the background though. More pictures are coming.

Home sweet home

We've arrived back in London after a great weekend in Italy. My suitcase has locked itself on a mysterious code so I've tried from 000 to 999 (yes that takes quite a while) it still didn't open so the italian is now breaking into it. The plus side of a neapoletan boyfriend:)

Re-arranging

Last wednesday I had a thought about changing everything around on my balcony. So while my sister was here we lifter and shifted and move d everything around. It is now completely opposite t how it was before. And it is so much better. A lot mote space and easier to move around and I will go out there for breakfast, lunch and dinner now if the weather allows it.

Camden

Camden is a great, fun place . There is so much to do there, in the day time and at night.
When I first came to London (and I'd moved out of the compulsory flat by Edgware Road that most Swede's go through when we arrive) I lived in Camden Town for about a year, and then I moved a bit further down the road and lived in Camden Square for about a year as well.
So Camden will always have a special place in my heart, it was the first "village" I saw here in London.
The market itself is very pretty as it is right by the canal
There's food from all over the world
Some weirder than others...
It makes you quite hungry walking around looking at everything
The swings are for customers only at this weird ice cream place, didn't really understand what they are doing to the ice cream, but it sound chemical...
The market is also full of stalls with clothes, accessorize, furniture, home ware, technical things etc etc, Here I am considering to feed my feet to some fish, but I chickened out in the end. At least for a few days...
There are some more take away places and restaurants and you can sit and eat with these beautiful ladies
Or on this pretty bench
The Horse Stables market is all about these
I absolutely love this market, it has changed a lot from when I lived here nine (!!) years ago.
If you go on Sundays all the stalls are open, but there are lots of shops and stalls that are here every day, and there are a lot less people during the week.

Verdict

So what is my verdict on the ministry of sound running music?
Well I am not a huge fan of dance music. Like, I mean, proper club dance music. I understand that if the title is Ministry Of Sound then off course that's the kind of music I'll get. Well I say that I understand it, but actually I didn't. I thought it would be more chart music that they'd changed into a bit faster beat and more clubby sound to it.
It wasn't. It is very much clubby music from the start, this means that there's not a lot of the music that I recognise from before.
This doesn't mean that it is a bad mix. Not at all, I just don't think it was exactly what I was looking for.
But I think the more I listen to it and the more I get to know the songs it'll be perfect to run to.
It's got a fast beat so you keep your feet running fast and if you pump up the volume you almost feel like you're flying, that's how easy it is to run with good music in your ears.
All in all I am very pleased and it is definitely better than running to Adele which I used to do before just because her music makes me happy and I love it.
It just makes it quite difficult to move your feet fast to a slow ballad.

Funny website

A few weeks ago a Swedish blogger wrote about this website.
And two days later I get an email from Daily Candy that I've written about before and they also recommend having a look at that website.
Now, this site is funny just as it is, because it's got a complete stalker warning on it.
Desperate (??) single girls taking pictures of hot guys on the tube.
That in itself is very funny, but then they actually take time to send these pictures to this website and let other "desperate single girls" take part of their find as well.
The other funny part of this is that I've been on the tube with the Italian once when someone took a photo of him, and a couple of weeks after that it happened to him again when he was on his own.
We laughed at it and wondered what they were doing with these pictures, now we obviously wonder if he is on this website somewhere.
I haven't got the patience to go through the whole thing though, but it would be fun to find out.

Bird Theme

This is the things I went back to Spitalfields Market for last week.
A really cute door stop in the shape of a dove.
We were also in need of a door mat outside our door.
This wasn't my absolute favourite. There were others there before, but in the end I decided that since the door stop was a bird, why not go for a bird themed door mat as well.
