To all my lovely readers.
I hope you will have a fantastic night tonight and a great start to the new year.
2011 - I can't believe it.
I have been in London for 10 years in February, how did that happen?

But what a fantastic decade it has been.
I have met so many amazing people and made some great friends, had lots of laughs and I wouldn't change it for anything.
Let's see what 2011 has to offer....

Thursday

We have had an extremely lazy day, mostly on the sofa.
At one point we walked for a little bit to do some errands, then back on the sofa - new TV serie in the box - Criminal Minds. SO GOOD!
I've got a bit of a headache now though because I am so tense throughout while watching it :).
We had to take a little break and go to the cinema.
Love and other drugs is what we watched.
Very different from the murder we've seen the rest of the day...
For dinner I made beetroot rice with Haloumi cheese.
And that is our day summed up:)

Hello Italian, Goodbye Diet

Cheese, chocolates, biscuits, cake....

Good Morning Thursday

The Italian didn't get back until about 1.30 this morning so we have only just woken up.
Nothing planned yet for today, but I thought I'd start with a good breakfast that will last me a while.
I got so many amazing Christmas presents, I love every single one of them:)
This beautiful mug from Indiska is from my lovely sister, and it has quickly become my favourite cup.

Monday night

The Italian just called and we are in the same country:)
I am still stuck on the sofa with Coupling going. There are four series and I have only got three episodes left:)
Get a life!
I have sorted out all my photos on the computer though so not a completely wasted day.
Here are some from Monday night and the goodbye dinner for C.
The dinner was held at La Ratatouille in Marylebone.
Starter, gorgeous grilled prawns
Me and lovely J who owns the restaurant with her husband
J also gave a big kiss to C to say goodbye
A's main course Choucroute de la mer - absolutely fantastic, that's what I'm having next time
My main course was a lovely lemon sole
A also went for the chocolate fondant
And J and I shared the Cafe Liegeois.
We had a good laugh and they all thought I was a bit mad to go home on my bike afterwards...
You all have to visit this restaurant.
It is really good, the food is fantastic.

Friends, babies and dogs

On the last day in Sweden I went out to my friend C's cute house and had breakfast with the girls.
Unfortunately A was sick so I am so glad that I managed to see her earlier in the week.
For some reason the host herself didn't get photographed but here is her beautiful daughter F entertaining P's little one in the belly.
She is still going:)
Gorgeous little V was entertaining as well at times, here however he is happy in mummy's arms.
Lots of snow outside the window at this beautiful place in the middle of the woods.

Tonight's dinner

Quinoa with prawns, tomatoes and peas
This is what happens when there is no food in the flat and I got back into the pyjamas straight after I got out of the shower after my run.
I then realised that I hadn't had dinner yet so this is what I found.
Still watching Coupling, and waiting patiently for the Italian to come home:)

Christmas Eve

It was a gorgeous day with snow and glorious sunshine
The first part of the eating with "lusse-katter" o "pepparkakor"
All the yummy Christmas food
And the cheese board for afters
And lastly a nice mix of sweets for later in the evening.
And believe it or not there were people there as well.

The day dissapeared

I got woken up at noon today by the phone.
I was then in my pyjamas until 4.30pm when I finally went for a run.
That's the backside of starting to watch a TV series on DVD.
I just can't break free...
I am however looking through my photos from the Sweden trip at the same time so I might throw in some late Christmas pictures here during the evening.
Like this one from the night before Christmas when I was sitting up with my parents drinking tea and eating chocolate.

Tuesday 28 December 2010

I just spoke to the Italian for a whole 15 minutes:) I finally found out how his Christmas was and his presents and all sort of things about how his holiday is:)
I never started watching Julie & Julia I got caught up in Coupling instead that my lovely sister lent me.
It's a British comedy and I quite like it.
I made myself a little snack as well to stop myself from running to the shop for chocolate.

Pressure

The Italian and I are planning our February Holiday and I am so excited.
I can feel the sun on my skin already.
Well, I say we are planning it, but I have never spoken to him as little as I have now when we have both been on holiday.
Every time I've called him, he is on his way somewhere and the other way around.
He gets back from Italy late tomorrow night and we have ALL day Thursday off together. I can't wait.
We've had a bit of text contact though with different suggestions when it comes to destinations and things so hopefully we might actually book something on Thursday.
I need to seriously cut back on all the chocolate eating though if I am going to feel comfortable wearing a bikini in a month. Well at least until the gym starts their proper opening hours so I can start going again.
For now I am going to enjoy my super healthy dinner and start to watch Julie & Julia

I am changing my face

I have done something today that I should've done a long time ago....
I would consider myself a very environmental conscious person.
I recycle everything (almost to a point of obsession), I use environmental friendly soap, washing powder, washing up liquid etc, but for some unknown reason I have never done anything about my skin products.
So today I finally pulled myself together and went and bought some organic skin products.
Unfortunately I was a bit short of time (surprise) so there are a couple of things in them that I don't know what they are but I m going to research them and hopefully I've made a good choice.
I am very pleased and can't wait to go and wash my face now
I'd like to know of a good shampoo that would do the same..?

Early night...

...was supposed to be my evening tonight after just a couple of hours sleep last night. But I decided to go out for dinner with friends instead and I'm now lying in bed thinking about that the alarm will go off in a few hours. But then I caught a glimpse of my nails and the new varnish I bought yesterday. I love this colour:) ok my eye lids are closing.
Sweet dreams.

Post Christmas post

I am working today, but I'll leave you with this in the mean time.
So funny.

Late arrival

Finally got back to my flat after a 9 1/2 hours travelling day from Halmstad to London and a £13 five minute taxi ride:) welcome back to London. I am now sitting here finishing off the last few Swedish chocolates and I am going to bed in a minute. Need to be at work in 6 hours:)
Good night x

Christmas Eve

Morning walk in the sunshine

Christmas day morning.
I feel 10kg heavier:)
I met up with a friend who I haven't seen for about 10 years and we went for a walk in the gorgeous sunshine.
-15C but so fresh and gorgeous and quiet and peaceful:)
Lovely morning.

A good morning

Just before I left Sweden I received a lovely parcel from my close friends in Australia (we used to spend many christmasses together when I spent them in London and they still lived there).
I brought the present with me to Sweden and decided to open it this morning at breakfast.
I got so many things!
And they are lovely, I love it all.
I love this and I can't wait to put it on my luggage
Thank you so much for everything.
I love you so much and miss you all.
I hope you will have a lovely christmas.
Speak to you soon!

Afternoon

After I'd left my sister house I went to see A in her mother D's house. And her little daughter T was there as well of course. Charming everyone as usual:)
It was great to see D. I've known A since I was 1 year old so I have spent a lot of time with the two of them when we were little.
Obviously now when we have moved out from our parents house it's not very often I get to see D.
Great fun, and a lovely chilled out, relaxing afternoon.

First night.

I went to my sistershouse last night and had a great giry time with her and my niece last night.
We had some dinner, and lots of play time.
I was so excited to see my niece that I haven't seen since I was here in July.
Far too long!!
And after the little lady went to bed my sister and I spent some quality time in front of the fire with some sweets:)
I spent the night there and it was lovely to be woken up by them this morning and have some lovely breakfast together.

1st view of Sweden

All wrapped up on the train from the airport
Gorgeous snowy Sweden:)
It was -16C when I arrived yesterday. Brrr! But today is only -6C so a bit more acceptable.
I am so pleased that I made it here after all the trouble with pling from London the last week.
I feel very lucky!
